ODM Party Leader and Cord principal Raila Odinga will ot attend the Mashujaa Day celebrations today at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos as expected.
Breaking the news via his official verified facebook page, the opposition leader said he had to travel to the United Kingdom this morning.
"I am scheduled to address students, scholars, public service officials and political leaders at the London Metropolitan University tomorrow during the opening session of the London Political Summit 2016," he wrote.
It had been reported before that the whole Cord fraternity would be present at the out-of-Nairobi celebrations and this comes as a shocker.
It remains to be seen whether the other Cord co-principals will make it to Machakos.
"Happy Mashujaa Day to all. God bless our land and nation," he signed off.
