The opposition chief according to sources said violence marred the Migwena Sports Tournament forcing him to skip the event he was to launch.

Former Ukwala town council chairman Sylvester Wire condemned the violence saying youth need to sober up as the country gears for an election in August.

The tournament was held in Bondo.

Wire accused an aspirant for the post of governor of initiating the violence.

He said such acts will not be tolerated.

"Raila has always attended the event," he said.
