Supporters allied to opposition leader have hailed Raila Odinga's NASA coalition for snubbing Gusii MPs from key house committees.
Despite the coalition winning a number of seats in both Nyamira and Kisii Counties, none made it to parliamentary leadership slots.
But NASA followers have termed the move as a deserved punishment to Governors John Nyagarama (Nyamira) and James Ongwae (Kisii) over their alleged divided allegiance.
"We missed slots because Ongwae and Nyagarama could no even coordinate pssing of People's Assembly Bills," claimed Serah George at Nyamira Politics WhatsApp group.
Another user Jacob Abere said: "I fully support Raila's move. Our leaders are flops and rarely feature when we are demonstrating against despots."
But some accused Raila of allegedly sidelining the Gusii community despite voting for him overwhelmingly since 2007 elections.
"Someone like Simba Arati deserved something better. I am yet to know why he punished us categorically," said Peter Maroro.
Of the influential parliamentary committees, no single MP was the vast Gusii region has been considered by NASA coalition.
