Mwaura claims that his name was forcefully removed from the party's register but party leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday said that the slot he held belonged to the party and he needed to give it up.

"Unfortunately Mwaura has found it hard to leave ODM. Jubilee has its own slots and Mwaura is not in ODM," Raila said.

Speaking to a gathering of persons living with disabilities at Orange House, Raila did not mince his words calling those who left the party prostitutes.

He added, "We are justified to demand that the seats be given back to ODM."

Raila said the rebels were given a chance to change their minds but they did nothing.

He expressed helplessness on the matter saying he no longer had control over the turn the matter had taken.

"The ball is no longer in our court but the government's. They are no longer party members and are not entitled to represent ODM in parliament."

Following the decision by the National Disciplinary Committee which deliberated over the party rebels, the party wrote to the Registrar of Political Parties over Mwaura’s and nine others being expelled.

Last week, Mwaura attacked Raila last Friday saying ODM would not win the presidency as it lacks respect.

He said Kenyans were tired of the party’s double standards and a leader who gives them proverbs instead of concentrating on important issues.
