The National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga arrived in Harare, Zimbabwe on Monday evening after jetting out of the country earlier in the day.
Raila was accompanied by Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o.
Taking to social media shortly after arriving in Harare, the former prime minister said he was accorded a warm reception to the country by Acting MDC President Nelson Chamisa.
"Arrival in Harare with Kisumu Governor Professor Anyang' Nyong'o and my sister Beryl Achieng. We have been welcomed by acting MDC President Nelson Chamisa," Raila posted.
Odinga is in Zimbabwe to attend the burial of his long-time friend and Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) leader Morgan Tsvangirai.
Tsvangirai, 65, died on Wednesday, at a hospital in South Africa where he had been undergoing treatment for colon cancer.
He will be buried on Tuesday February 20, in his rural home in Buhera.
