Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has acknowledged meeting retired President Mwai Kibaki, saying "it was good to see him in very high spirits."
The former grand coalition leaders held talks focusing on the state of the nation, national unity and political developments in the country.
He said the two discussed the current state of the nation and exchanged ideas on how best they can forge ahead in unity as a people.
"The greater common good of our people should be our motivation as we take steps to build an all inclusive Kenya where nobody feels left behind," said Odinga after the meeting.
Raila who worked with Kibaki in the grand coalition government after 2007/2008 PEV, indicated that Kibaki wished Kenyan leaders well as they continue to unite the country.
"Equal opportunity for all and a level playing field is what our people expect and deserve. He wished us well as we proceed with this arduous task and I thank him for his candid advice," revealed Odinga.
Accompanied by Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang' Nyong'o, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Lawyer Paul Mwangi, Raila met at Kibaki at his Muthaiga home.
Kibaki was flanked by Laikipia Governor who is his nephew Nderitu Njoroge with his (Kibaki) Jimmy Kibaki. Also present was State House Chief Of Staff Joseph Kinyua.
