NASA leader Raila Odinga has spoken for the first time regarding a leaked memo that IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati sent to his CEO Ezra Chiloba on September 5, 2017.
According to Odinga, the leaked internal memo is a vindication for NASA and the Supreme Court after September 1st ruling that declared the August 8 polls null and void.
The opposition chief said the letter reveals the shame behind Chiloba and anyone who stands to defend him or his cohorts is an enemy of the nation.
Odinga further said, the August 8 polls was a Jubilee poll and what they need is an election between NASA and Jubilee, not a one man show where one candidate is favored.
The former Prime Minister also claimed that from the leaked memo it is clear that other races apart from the presidential one were also affected by the malpractices.
He also added that they will not go for the repeat polls until a proper clean up is done in the IEBC.
"Until all stakeholders come together and discuss we will not go for the repeat polls. I know Jubilee will come with propaganda that NASA wants a coalition government. We must make the ground clean because currently there are still some landmines on the field of play and they must be removed before we go to the polls or Jubilee can just go it alone," said Odinga.
Odinga was speaking at the Okoa Kenya secretariat in Lavington on Thursday afternoon.
