Opposition leader Raila Odinga has revealed how NASA coalition is going to pile pressure Jubilee government if President Uhuru Kenyatta wins a second term in office.

Speaking during an interview on CNN, Odinga said that his coalition will resist violence and use constitutional means to ensure Jubilee government agrees to their demands.

He maintained that the Thursday repeat presidential poll was a  ‘sham’ saying that NASA will only engage the government on how another election will be conducted within 90 days.

“If the government imposes itself on the people the people have a right to self-determination the people also have a right to disobey orders coming from such a government, therefore, we will not go for violent confrontations with the government we will go for peaceful resistance,” Mr Odinga said.

The former Prime Minister said that the opposition will on Monday, October 30 announce to its supporters  the measures that it will take to put pressure on the government to step aside.

“Only 3.5 million people participated in the election, which is twenty percent of the total registered voters, that shows basically that people don’t have confidence. It is a vote of no confidence in the government of president Kenyatta and if I were him and I know that he is a democrat I would actually resign or step aside,” added Mr Odinga.
