ODM leader Raila Odinga has moved to refute reports of division in the opposition coalition, the National Super Alliance (NASA) over the planned swearing-in.

In an interview with VOA, the former Prime Minister dismissed as far-fetched claims that some principals are opposed to the January 30 fete, preferring dialogue with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"There is no rift in NASA at all. No problems whatsoever. My brothers are fully behind the course," he said on Wednesday.

Raila also said the manner in which the committee leadership positions reserved for the opposition parties had been shared out have left some parties bitter and considering to leave NASA.

“There are no disagreements. Not a single one. Some people could not be happy that I did not get that or that. But that is normal for a family with many siblings. It does not we are going to break up,” he added.
