Veteran politician Raila Odinga on Saturday was spotted wearing a presidential badge, raising more questions about his secret deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Slightly over a month ago, the two most followed politicians in the country, reached a deal, whose details still remains scanty.
Flanked by his wife Ida Odinga, senator Sam Ongeri and daughter Winnie Odinga, Raila was accorded presidential reception at Winnie Mandela's funeral in the historic Orlando stadium.
When he landed, sources say, Raila was given a police escort to his hotel room in Johanesberg, and would later on be seen with a presidential badge, an indication that he was representing the Kenyan government.
So confusing has been his recent political moves that even his visit to retired president Daniel Moi has even irked political temperatures.
"She gave South Africa her all, gained much in bringing freedom to her people and lost so much at the personal level," he said in his tribute.
Raila added: "Her place in history is cast in stone here in the land of many heroes and victims and among human race in general."
Just before the funeral, Raila briefly met Deputy President David Mabuza and International Relations minister and his long time friend Lindiwe Sisulu.
Further, sources indicate that Raila will meet President Cyril Ramaphosa, his business partner and comrade in struggle later on Sunday.
