Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga fight to rise to power has continued to face a number of challenges ahead of the next general elections.
The former prime minister is still being haunted by the ‘ghost of shambolic nominations. The opposition leader has been hit hard again after the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal nullified results of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Siaya gubernatorial race.
National Super Alliance (NASA) supporters will have to wait longer to know who will fly the flag of the ODM after Siaya Count Governor Cornel Rasanga were nullified on the grounds that they were not conducted in a free and fair manner.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) cleared Rasanga to contest for the seat in forthcoming general elections before the worst happen on his side.
The former prime minister will have to intervene to avoid losing support in the region as the elections date draw closer. The opposition leader has had sleepless nights trying to calm differences between different leaders in the region as the race to state house becomes tough.
The NASA presidential candidate has been put on the spotlight over nominations but he has insisted that the exercise was conducted free and fairly while urging losers to back the winners for the sake of presidency.
