The opposition leader was answering claims by his opponents that he has been shielding ODM governors from prosecuting in his Friday's press conference.

And Odinga insisted that his work was only to expose corruption scandals adding that the government has machinery to investigate and prosecute.

"Corruption is a menace that should be fought by all leaders. If ODM or Jubilee governor is found culpable, then he should be jailed because that is an economic crime," he said.

Odinga added: "Uhuru has all the instruments to fight corruption. Nothing prevents him from taking an action against these governors."

Last year, Odinga was accused of shielding ODM governors among them Amason Kingi of Kilifi who had been adversely mentioned in corruption scandals.
