The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee administration of reneging on their election pledges made in the last general elections.
Speaking when NASA toured the Nairobi city for vote-hunt on Sunday, Raila castigated President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto for ruining the future of Kenya youth by failing to provide them with jobs as they had promised in 2013.
“The future of our youth has been ruined by Jubilee. You go to school up to university but you have no job, your future has been rigged because you have done everything right but the government lets you down, this is what we must change,” Raila was quoted by People Daily while addressing Mathare residents.
The ODM leader urged Kenyans to support the opposition and vote out Jubilee which he said will not improve the livelihoods of citizens even if given 100 years to rule.
He further cautioned NASA supporters living in Nairobi against leaving the city before the elections for fear of violence.
"Every vote counts. We are asking all our supporters to remain where they registered and cast their votes. The police must ensure that all Kenyans are safe," the former Prime Minister added.
