Opposition leader Raila Odinga is set to address his first public rally as the people's president on Sunday in Nairobi's Baba Dogo estate.
According to the National Super Alliance (NASA), the rally was set to begin in the afternoon hosted by area MP TJ Kajwang.
"The People's President H.E. Raila Odinga will attend tomorrow's mega NASA/ NRM rally hosted by Hon. TJ Kajwang at Baba Dogo, Ruaraka constituency, Nairobi, from 1 p.m. All comrades are invited! ," NASA posted on its twitter page on Saturday.
It is still not clear whether the other coalition principals will attend the Baba Dogo rally.
This is the first public rally the former Prime Minister will be attending after his inauguration as the people's president.
The rally comes amid a crackdown by the government on opposition leaders who attended the swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday.
By Saturday evening, three NASA leaders had been arrested and subjected to questioning by the authorities.
