ODM party leader Raila Odinga is expected to chair a crucial meeting of opposition leaders to chat the way forward following the passage of proposed Election Laws.
Although the date for the meeting has not been set, a source privy to the development told this writer the meeting will be held before Friday (January 13).
Other Cord co-principals, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula will attend the source added.
He said efforts are being made to bring Kanu, Amani National Congress and Chama Cha Mashinani leaders on board.
Parliament and the Senate recently passed the controversial Election Laws which, the opposition says may aid vote rigging during the August general elections.
According to the passed amendments, the IEBC, during the August polls will be at liberty to use the manual voter identification system in case the electronic one fails.
Cord claims Jubilee wants to use the manual voter identification system to inflate the voter register in its favour.
Cord had organised street protests for January 4, but postponed them to allow the Senate debate the proposed laws.
