A jovial Raila Odinga left mourners at Consolata Shrines in Nairobi cracking their ribs when he demanded Cabinet Secretary Eugine Wamalwa to address him as 'president'.

Odinga, 72, took oath as people's president on Tuesday, an event that has led to police crackdown on alleged facilitators and co-conspirators.

At the event, Eugene said: "There is one thing Michael Wamalwa said about Raila; that the problem with him is that you cannot love or hate him in full."

And when Raila took podium in mourning Yvonne Wamalwa, widow to the later Vice President Wamalwa, he left mourners excited when he alluded to his new status as people's president.

"I have come to mourn my friend Yvonne, but Eugene forgot to say something. He forgot to address me as His Excellency. I don't know know whether it was deliberate or by omission."

Among those who have since been arrested for administering the oath include firebrand Miguna Miguna and TJ Kajwang.

Yvonne will be laid to rest at Trans Nzoia on Saturday, an event that could unite politicians from both NASA and Jubilee.
