NASA Raila Odinga will return the favour and endorse Deputy President William Ruto in 2022 for the support he received from the Kalenjin nation in 2007, Lder of Majority Aden Duale has said.
Speaking on Saturday, Duale said it is the Kalenjin community that made Raila a prime minister and Nyanza should return hand.
“The only community that made Raila a PM was the Kalenjin. That is why you should not be surprised to see Raila endorse Ruto for the presidency in 2022,” Duale said.
The vocal MP was speaking during a Pastoralists Parliamentary Group meeting at the Nyali Sun Africa Beach Hotel in Mombasa.
He led up to 107 MPs to.strategize on how to benefit from the government.
He also campaigned for the DP and asked the MPs to ensure they rally behind him in 2022.
“We must ensure that a pastoralist gets to State House after President Uhuru Kenyatta and you (PPG members) know what I’m talking about,” he said.
Ruto is expected to launch an aggressive campaign for the preaidency in 2022.
