NASA leader Raila Odinga will after all hold a People's Assembly rally in Nyamira despite the county having not passed the bill.
For weeks now, the local leadership is yet to decide on the fate of the bill, despite NASA's numerical strength.
"We shall pass the bill soon no matter what. I understand we have a few hiccups," said nominated MCA Caroline Mogere, who doubles as ODM Women League chair.
But even with he delay, NASA leadership has planned a rally that will take place few days to Raila's inauguration.
A statement from the swearing-in committee, lists Nyamira as one of the counties expected to host Odinga and the troop.
"We shall have a series of rallies after the Machakos edition. Kisii, Nyamira and Mombasa are some of the areas we shall visit," read the statement.
Sources close to county government of Nyamira intimate that Governor John Nyagarama is not keen with the bill due to a case challenging his reelection.
