Earlier, ex-Kakamega senator Bonnie Khalwale had poked holes in Raila's decision to work with Uhuru without informing his fellow co-principals.

"We respect you Raila but it is unfair you reach Uhuru alone yet you know we were working as a team," he said at a funeral in Bondo.

In one of the most surprising episodes, Raila agreed to work with Uhuru last month but details of their secret deal still remains scanty.

But Raila, who was also attending the funeral, denied claims that he is s self centered leader, insisting that his move was in good faith.

"I want to tell Khalwale to stop panicking. As your father, I went to hunt for your food. I have now brought it to the table just wait to be served," he said.

Raila added: "It was a painful decision but sometimes we have to change strategy. If we don't, they will continue rigging our victories."

While Raila's role in the new administration remains unknown, sources intimate that he may be appointed AU special envoy.
