Speaking during a funeral service in Chebai village in Elgeyo Marakwet county Saturday, the former Prime Minister said that he will soon embark on finishing the projects he initiated during his tenure.

He noted that residents of the county will be the first ones on the list, pledging to push for the conclusion of his unfinished projects in the region, mainly roads.

"The Jubilee government is yet to finish some of the projects that I launched in this county when I was the Prime Minister. I will, therefore, use my closeness to the government to push for their completion," he said.

He also defended himself for leaving several development initiatives incomplete throughout the nation.

The Orange Democratic Party (ODM) party boss blamed his ouster after the 2013 general polls for the same.

"I left them incomplete when I had to leave the government after the 2013 election but I believe that now we can address that," he added.

Odinga was the Prime Minister in the grand coalition government that saw him rule alongside President Mwai Kibaki between 2007 and 2013.
