Former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga has said that he is ready to give compelling evidence that he won the just concluded general election.

This is after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of this year’s election.

Uhuru garnered more than 1.4 million votes more than the Opposition leader's.  In an exclusive interview with The Financial Times, Raila said the he has evidence that the election was rigged, adding that the death of IEBC ICT manager Msando left the election in limbo.

“We will show the kind of charade the whole world has been treated to," he said, adding the United Nations (UN) needs to audit the election result.

He added: “With the experience of what happened to Chris Msando they were very frightened." The opposition leader, however said that he will not contest during another general election after suffering humiliating defeat. The opposition leader also said that it does not make sense to vote when someone is plotting to rig.

"It is not about me. It’s not about Raila Odinga," he said. "...there’s no point in people going to elections in the future, queuing for hours to vote or running around for months campaigning. At the end of the day it’s the computer in the national tallying centre that’s making the decisions."
