ODM chairman John Mbadi and Director of Elections Junet Mohammed could be greatest casualties of the ongoing NEC meeting in Naivasha, a source has revealed.
In the meeting, Raila is also expected to brief members about his decision to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"We are here to listen to his brief about decision to work with Uhuru. It is among many things we shall discuss," said deputy party leader Wycliffe Oparanya,
Two months ago, Raila's struct a working formula with Uhuru much to surprise of NASA supporters across the country.
But the question of revamping the party has also been lined up with a section of members calling for dropping of the duo from party positions due to critical assignments they hold in parliament.
"A section of party members have raised the issue about holding several positions and this could see Mbadi and Junet dropped from holding party positions," said the source.
On Sunday, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati openly challenged Raila to drop the duo along with Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi who also doubles as PAC chairman.
In parliament, Mbadi is the Minority Leader while Junet is the Minority Whip, the positions which they will continue holding should they be dropped from party positions.
