The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is set to reveal the progress made, and the direction his unison with President Uhuru Kenyatta is headed.
The opposition chief is to address the ODM top leadership at a seminar in Naivasha on Tuesday, May 8, following the heated debate and divided opinion over his deal with Uhuru.
The historic Harambee House handshake between the two political nemeses brought changes to the political landscape with a lot of activity being witnessed across the political divide.
"Party leader Raila Odinga is today scheduled to chair the party NEC meeting at the Sentrime Hotel in Elementaita. Agenda of the meeting is revamping the party at the grass-root level and the brief by the party leader on the progress of handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta," a statement by the party said.
Hot on the handshake, Raila began hosting high profile visitors at his Capitol Hill office, from politicians to envoys, as he embarked on a national reconciliation programme. The reconciliation handshake has seen him shake hands with his bitter rivals, former presidents Daniel arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki on different dates.

He has also been given State recognition on foreign trips including during the burial ceremony of anti-apartheid icon Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in South Africa.
There is political change wafting across the country with pundits closely following his steps divided in the middle not knowing the next string he is to pull.
His call for constitutional change for the introduction of a new governance system has already gained steam, with Uhuru indicating he supports the push while Deputy President William Ruto is sharply opposed to the idea.
The possibility of Raila running for the top seat in the 2022 race cannot be ruled out though he has denied the claims. With the mystery surrounding the deal dubbed Building Bridges, the Naivasha meeting is expected to open the lid on what to expect from the two leaders.
