Social media giants Facebook could find itself at the center of legal storm over her role in 'manipulating' Kenya's 2017 elections.
An expose by Britains's Channel 4 on the negative campaigns by data firm Cambridge Analytica, that depicted Raila as a 'devil incarnate', was widely sponsored by Facebook under the 'Real Raila' videos.
In an interview with the channel on Monday, Raila insisted that he's contemplating taking legal actions against both Facebook and Cambridge Analytica.
"I am disappointed that Facebook agreed to cooperate in this clandestine enterprise," said Raila.
He added: " I have been very disappointed, and we are actually contemplating legal action against Facebook. We will do it outside Kenya."
Should Raila proceed with the legal battle, the move could further sabotage his recent reconciliation with President Uhuru Kenyatta, the man believed to be the beneficiary of the negative campaigns.
In the expose, a worker from Cambridge Analytica, a firm that had contracted Facebook to spread the "propaganda", admits orchestrating Uhuru's victory in both 2013 and 2017 polls.
