Opposition leader Raila Odinga has expressed confidence that he will defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the forthcoming August 8 polls.
Raila said should his strongholds record the highest number of new voters, there was no way Jubilee would beat him.
“Our chances of winning this election are wide open. You must do one thing: just register, register, register and register,” Raila told his supporters in Kibra on Monday.
The Cord leader rallied Opposition supporters to list as voters en masse and hand him a head-start.
“The coming elections will be won in the next 30 days. Next polls will be won between now and February 14. It will be do-or-die for us," he said.
The former Prime Minister assured his supporters the polls would not be “rigged again”, telling them to do their part of registration and voting.
“In the past two elections, they rigged. But let me tell you now I have a formula on how to deal with them if they attempt the bad old tactic in this elections," Raila said.
He added: "My people go out and register then later turn out in large numbers to vote and leave the rest to me."
The ODM Party Leader was accompanied by, among others, Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, his deputy Jonathan Mueke and Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
