Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga was on Wednesday expected to visit Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka following a dawn attack at his home in Nairobi.

Raila was to visit the former Vice President at his Karen home from 12 noon, Capital FM reports.

Opposition leaders who have already reached at Kalonzo's home include Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana and a host of Wiper MPs.

Detectives from Bomb squad have also been deployed at the residence to investigate a device that was thrown into his compound.

According to Karen OCPD Cunningham Suiyanka, an object that looked like a grenade was hurled into Kalonzo's compound at around 2am Wednesday.

Suiyanka said no one was injured, adding that the investigations are ongoing.

Wetang'ula has termed the incident as an attempt to intimidate NASA leaders due to their stand on electoral reforms.

While noting that the attack comes a few hours after the security details of opposition leaders was withdrawn, the Senator asked the government to ensure the leaders are safe.

"We will hold the State responsible for anything that happens to our brother Kalonzo Musyoka. They should know that we won't be intimidated," he stated.

Kalonzo, Wetang'ula and Musalia Mudavadi on Tuesday gave a wide berth the 'swearing in' ceremony of Raila at Uhuru Park that was attended by thousands of NASA supporters.
