Chemno said the decision will be wise and will help Raila remain relevant.

He said, Raila should stop chest thumping and instead give fresh blood a chance to run the party. Speaking to journalist in his office on Wednesday Chemno said it's time for Raila to groom his successor for sanity to be brought in the party.

"The recent withdrawal of members from the party clearly shows party members are tired with his leadership, therefore, need to retire for active politics. If he wants to to leave legacy behind he should retire peacefully, but if he forces himself to contest for presidency he will fail miserably," said Chemno.

He added that if he does not put his house in order he will remain alone ahead of 2017 general elections and Jubilee will win elections without much pressure.
