NASA leader Raila Odinga has accused the Jubilee administration of failing Kenyans by defaulting on its 2013 manifesto.
Raila said the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led government was insensitive to the plight of Kenyans adding that country's nationals have been impoverished since 2013 when Jubilee took power from the Grand Coalition government.
He lamented Kenyans are grappling with the high cost of living when top government leaders are enriching themselves through what he called runaway corruption.
“Jubilee has mortgaged the lives of Kenyans," the former Prime Minister said when the Opposition took campaigns to Trans Nzoia County on Thursday.
"Let’s remove them from power for Kenyans to breathe again. Even if elected for 100 years, they will not achieve anything," he added.
He cited the Eurobond scandal which he alleged that Kenyans lost Sh215 billion to a few well-connected individuals in government.
The ODM leader also hit out at President Kenyatta for failing to address the problems of Kenyan farmers.
He said the government recently imported maize at Sh4,600 after refusing to pay local farmers Sh3,000.
“Farmers in the grain basket were also supplied with substandard fertiliser, which is threatening food security,” Raila stated.
Speaking at the same event, Siaya Senator James Orengo criticised Jubilee for not fulfilling its 2013 pre-election pledges.
“A government that is unable to feed its people is a failed government,” said Orengo.
The Opposition leaders urged the residents to vote for NASA in the August polls promising to lower the cost of living immediately after taking office.
