Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has sensationally claimed that the Independent Boundaries and Electoral Commission favoured President Uhuru Kenyatta's strongholds in the issuance of BVR kits.
The electoral body commenced a month long voter registration exercise across the country, targeting over 6 million new voters in the final mass voter registration exercise.
Speaking in Kisii town on Thursday, Odinga however, said he will not be deterred by IEBC's 'perennial' tradition of siding with the government.
"I am aware that more BVR kits were dispatched to Central Kenya and Rift Valley yet statistics showed that my strongholds have more number of projected new voters," he said.
"I will not cry foul over the same because we know their tendency. We shall use the available machines to register as many people as we can. we have numbers which can beat them in August," he added.
Odinga also toured Nyamira and Migori counties where he urged locals to make use of mass voter registration period to register more people ahead of August's polls.
