The ODM Parliamentary Group now wants Raila Odinga to stay focused and 'refuse' to be distracted by 2022 succession politics.
For months now, Raila has found himself in precarious position as NASA partners demand to have him pay political debt for their support in 2013 and 2017.
But on Tuesday, the PG warned Kalonzo Musyoka led Wiper and Musalia Mudavadi's ANC on 'unnecessary' pressure on Raila adding that the ODM leader should be spared succession politics.
"The Parliamentary Group encouraged Party Leader to stay focused on the big picture and struggle for a better and inclusive Kenya," read the statement.
It further said: "We also urge him to refuse to be destructed by those positioning themselves for 2022."
The latest twist hints a possible walkout from NASA even as Kalonzo's party continued to demand for Raila's support.
Days after swearing-in of Raila, top politicians from ODM notably Millie Odhiambo insisted that Raila does not owe anyone 'political debt'.
