Nomination of Raila Odinga's elder brother, Oburu Oginga to East African Legislative Assembly has not not gone down well with a section of NASA leaders.

Four names from NASA coalition were passed by parliament with with Oburu and Kennedy Musyoka being among those who emerged top.

With Norman Magaya being overlooked by MPs, Raila Odinga has been slammed for doing 'little' to help those who are not related to him.

Edwin Sifuna wrote: "Norman Magaya is tough. The EALA slip will not slow him down. We need to fix reward system in NASA."

On his part, Nelson Havi said: "Kenya is a cursed nation where great minds like Magaya are discredited and vilified."

Similar sentiments were made by other NASA supporters who accused Raila of lobbying for his brother at the expense of youthful Magaya.

"Kalonzo Musyoka pushed for his son Kennedy and Raila Odinga stood with Oburu at the expense of Magaya. Political parties are family companies," said Agot Bonface on twitter.

Jubilee party had however vowed to ensure Magaya does not make it, accusing him of belittling President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Oburu,76, was also nominated in 2013 by ODM party to represent interest of farmers in National Assembly.
