Deputy President William Ruto has said Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party Leader Raila Odinga has no agenda for Kenya and is unfit to take country's top seat.
Speaking in Ikolomani, Kakamega County on Saturday, Ruto asked members of the Luhya community to reject the CORD co-principal claiming he has no development agenda for western region.
“The CORD leadership led by Raila Odinga has specialised in organising demonstrations and promoting disunity among Kenyans and cannot be expected to offer any meaningful leadership to the country,” he said.
The Deputy President said the former Prime Minister is preoccupied with campaigns meant to pour cold water efforts led by Jubilee government to unite different communities in the country.
"Jubilee government is on record for promoting peaceful coexistence among all communities living in this country. The opposition is known for incitement and opposing every efforts made by government to to unite Kenyans," he added.
He said the opposition has little chance of removing Uhuru Kenyatta's government from power due to the tussle over who will be the coalition’s flag bearer.
