The former primer minister met the new board on Thursday evening at the party's headquarters, Orange house.

The new board bears the mandate and responsibility of developing election policy and supervising the conduction of elections in the party.

'We expect the new board to deliver free and fair nominations ahead of the forthcoming general elections,' Raila said.

The old board was disbanded in April due to shambolic party grassroot elections before Hon Judith Pareno later being reinstated as the board chair in June.

This is part and parcel of the party leader's efforts  to eliminate shoddy and shambolic party nominations which have affected ODM's voting pattern in the past.
