Kitui Woman representative Irene Kasalu has urged the NASA leader Raila Odinga to obey the MOU which he signed with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in 2017.
Kasalu said the ODM leader has to be a gentleman and honor the agreement when time comes.
She said Kalonzo has stood with the former Prime Minister during tough times hence the need for the latter to approve and support his 2022 presidential bid.
Kasalu addressed the press in Mutomo on Monday.
The Wiper party county MP raised concerns over the statements by ODM politicians that Raila will be on the ballot in 2022.
She said the statements betray the agreement the duo signed under the National Super Alliance (NASA).
Kasalu said Kalonzo must fly the NASA presidential ticket if the alliance will still be existing in 2022.
She said the Kamba community will not give up on the former Vice President's 2022 presidential bid.
“As a community, we have waited for long and it is our turn to support our own to the top leadership,” she said.
The Wiper politician called on Kamba leaders to unite as they strategize on Kalonzo’s bid.
There are claims that Kalonzo’s MoU with Raila might not be honored yet again.
Political analysts argue that Raila is likely to contest in the 2022 presidential poll.
A section of ODM politicians have openly declared that Raila will be on the ballot either on NASA or ODM party ticket.
On Saturday, the former Prime Minister was quoted saying that some people in the NASA coalition are about to betray him.
Raila asked his supporters to get ready for tough times ahead in relation to the push and fight for electoral reforms.
There are claims that NASA is on its deathbed though coalition principals have refuted the claims terming them a creation of the media.
Kalonzo’s Wiper party will meet next week to discuss and decide on its future in the Raila Odinga led NASA coalition.
