Former Limuru MP Peter Mwathi has hit out at Cord leader Raila Odinga accusing him of malice in his push against corruption.
Mwathi says that Raila is not speaking the truth in his push against graft.
The former MP claims that Raila is using corruption tag to gain political mileage ahead of the 2017 elections.
According the former lawmaker, Raila’s claims of rampant graft in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government are false.
“Raila doesn’t know what he is saying and should shut up and allow President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government to work,” he said when he addressed locals in Limuru on Monday.
Mwathi claimed that Raila’s plot is to tarnish Jubilee government ahead of the 2017 polls.
He however said that Raila’s plot will not work.
Mwathi who is seeking to unseat Limuru MP John Kiragu Chege said that Uhuru will win massively in 2017.
“Kenyans have faith in Uhuru Kenyatta’s government basing on the development agenda he has spearhead across the country,” he said.
The opposition has been criticising the Jubilee government for tolerating corruption.
However, the opposition has been criticised and accused of double-speak on matters graft.
A section of Jubilee politicians led by Deputy President William Ruto have accused the opposition of double speak on matters graft.
Last week some Jubilee politicians claimed that Raila Odinga is allegedly being funded by ODM governors.
National Assembly leader of Majority Aden Duale claimed that he has evidence that some ODM governors are funding Raila Odinga.
Raila has however refuted the claims accusing the Jubilee government of trying to divert attention on matters graft.
