Raila on Thursday said that the Orange party is still popular in the country. He stated that the Orange party will not fall as being predicted by rivals.

The former prime minister indicated that appropriate measures have been put in place to ensure that ODM remains popular ahead of the elections.

“We have embarked on a journey to popularize ODM and attract more members as we approach the 2017 election,” said the Orange party leader when he opened an ODM office in Ukunda.

The Cord leader asked youths to join the party and push its agenda forward. The Orange Party has been experiencing internal issues recently following the exit of some of its members to other parties.

Last month ODM secretary general Ababu Namwamba resigned from the position citing frustration from party top leadership.

The Budalangi MP has since said that he is preparing for a third force that will compete with Cord and Jubilee in next year’s election.

Raila is on a tour of the coastal region where he is expected to meet supporters  ahead of 2017 polls.
