Renowned blogger Robert Alai now claims that Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga wants Governors, at least from Nyanza region to serve two terms.
Alai’s claims come amid anxiety within ODM that a number of governors are pushing to be given direct nominations, a move that Odinga has persistently denied.
In his post on official Facebook account, the former opposition blogger accused Odinga of endorsing governors during Luo festivals in Homa Bay.
“In Homa Bay, Raila was clear that he wants governors to serve two terms. Then this is the same person who wants to remove Uhuru Kenyatta from power,” said Alai.
“If Raila believes that governors should serve two terms, the he should know that Uhuru and Ruto will see no sense of serving one term. Like I always say, Raila fumbles a lot,” he said.
Alai fell out with the opposition team when he reportedly met President Uhuru Kenyatta in State House.
