Former Starehe Member of Parliament Margaret Wanjiru has said that opposition Chief Raila Odinga has been attempting to recruit her back into ODM.
The former legislator has already declared interest to be the next Nairobi CEO on a Jubilee party ticket and will be locking horns with county bigwigs Senator Mike Sonko, Water CS Eugene Wamalwa and Dagoretti legislator Dennis Waweru for Jubilee's nod.
Wanjiru however reiterated that she does not intend to jump ship to Cord despite being offered the opportunity by Odinga.
“Odinga wants me to rejoin Cord. He has been trying to get me back,” she said.
Wanjiru added that she is happy to be in Jubilee and that nothing would take her away.
“I am quite happy in Jubilee party. There is a tough race to come but I am sure I'll conquer,” she added.
Wanjiru represented Starehe constituency from 2007 to 2012 on an ODM ticket but later ditched the Orange party for the Jubilee coalition shortly after the 2013 elections.
