Former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu has slammed NASA leader Raila Odinga, accusing him of plotting to push the country into a crisis.
Mutambu claims that Raila wants to plunge the country into economic and political crisis by opposing the date set by IEBC for the repeat presidential election.
The former Wiper Party MP claims that Raila is pushing to have a coalition government since he does not have the numbers to beat Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Mutambu, NASA wants to get power through the 'back-door'.
“Their (NASA) main agenda is to cause a constitutional crisis by disabling the IEBC and other state agencies from where they can get room to demand for a coalition government with Uhuru Kenyatta,” he alleged as quoted by the People Daily.
Mutambu who lost in the recently concluded general election claimed that Raila is desperate for power and is using every tricky to get it.
The former MP urged the IEBC and other independent institutions to stand firm and not to give into Raila’s demands.
He said that the orders given by the Supreme Court after nullifying the presidential election were very clear and that Raila should stop intruding into IEBC affair sand leave it to do its work.
Mutambu at the same time predicted another massive landslide victory for Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat election.
The Wiper rebel politician vowed to spearhead Uhuru’s campaigns in the larger Ukambani region.
