[Photo: the-star.co.ke]National Super Alliance (Nasa) and its flag bearer Raila Odinga are mortgaging Kenya's sovereignty by having a parallel tallying centre in a foreign country.Lawyer and political analyst George Kagucia has said that Raila wants to repeat what was done in Gambia early this year by the country's opposition."When you do this in a foreign country, what are you telling us as Kenyans? Are you mortgaging Kenya's sovereignty? Are you also saying you want it done the way it was done by (President) Adama Barrow of Gambia in Senegal? They had a tallying centre in Senegal and the President was sworn in a foreign nation. Is that what Nasa wants us to do in Kenya? Kagucia told KTN News' Choice 2017 show on Saturday.Kagucia added that NASA's alleged tallying centre in Tanzania is also a recipe for chaos noting that it can only declare Raila as the winner of August 8 presidential poll."The other day Raila Odinga conducted his own presidential poll which showed he is ahead of all the other candidates against all the other polls that are being done. How do we then expect that the Nasa tallying centre will declare Raila a loser? It cannot happen and it is not possible," he said.Kagucia noted that Nasa had won the case to have the presidential votes tallied at the constituency level declared final and therefore, NASA should trust the IEBC to guarantee peace and stability in Kenya.
