(Photo/citizentv.co.ke)Garissa Governor Ali Bunow Korane has asked NASA politicians to stop politicking and serve the people who elected them to their respective leadership positions.Korane argues that some NASA politicians are still politicking at the expense of delivering services to their electorate.Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Tuesday, Korane said that it is unfortunate that NASA wants to drag its politics into 2018 despite the election period ending last year. Korane asked NASA leader Raila Odinga and his allies to allow President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government time to serve Kenyans. He said that Raila’s continued politicking is not healthy for a country that is still hurting from the prolonged electoral process.“Raila Odinga and his associates should know that politics ended with the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta and they must accord Jubilee government ample time to deliver on its pledges to Kenyans,” he said. The Jubilee governor claimed that NASA’s agenda is to frustrate Uhuru’s administration. The governor asked the opposition to wait for 2022 and stop disturbing Kenyans who want to move on.“Kenyans are tired of endless politics, they want to move on and Raila ought to be a statesman and allow Uhuru’s government to discharge its duties without frustrations,” he said.Korane while condemning NASA’s threat to resume street protests said that the opposition cannot continue to hold Kenyans hostage. He asked NASA supporters to ignore Raila's political theatrics and move on with their lives.NASA maintains that it does not recognize President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government and is ready to swear in Raila Odinga as the people’s president. The opposition has also threatened to resume street protests and economic boycott if Jubilee government ignores call for electoral reforms and justice.
