Nakuru Women Representative Liza Chelule has criticised Opposition leader Raila Odinga after calling for street protests against the Jubilee administration.
On Tuesday, Raila revealed his plans to mobilise NASA supporters across the country to Nairobi to force a fresh election in 90 days.
But Chelule dismissed the calls, saying demonstrations against Uhuru, who she said was validly reelected, are unlawful.
"The entire year has been a political season. The economy is not performing well and any plans to sink it further will be met with the greatest resistance possible," she told The Standard on Tuesday evening.
The Jubilee MP told the Opposition leader to challenge Jubilee's win in the Supreme Court but not through demos that could trigger violence.
"Raila should not use illegal means to seek dialogue with Uhuru and Ruto. He should follow the constitutionally laid down processes to contest Uhuru's victory," Chelule added.
