Opposition coalition NASA leader Raila Odinga has been cautioned against planning a parallel swearing-in ceremony next week.
It is believed that the Opposition outfit is plotting to swear in the former Prime Minister as President on Tuesday.
Coincidentally, it is around the same time when President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to take oath of office for a second term in office.
However, NASA's plan has received a backlash, with a section of Jubilee leaders asserting that the plan would amount to treason.
Speaking on Tuesday, former Tiaty MP Asman Kamama took issue with NASA's scheme, maintaining that the apex court's ruling was final.
"Ensure no parallel swearing-in ceremony is held anywhere. The Supreme Court's decision is final,” he said.
"It is criminal for a civilian to endorse a fellow civilian to become president. This is a big joke. Chief Justice David Maraga shall swear-in the president-elect. So, anything done in the bush or at somebody's home is unconstitutional and illegal,” he added.
Preparations for Uhuru's swearing in ceremony have hit top gear after Monday's Supreme Court ruling that upheld his October 26 reelection victory.
