Cord leader Raila Odinga has threatened to mobilise Kenyans to stage demonstrations across the country should the government try to kick out Auditor General Edward Ouko.
Raila warned of lamentable consequences if the government continued to interfere with Ouko’s work.
Speaking yesterday in Nyacheki, Kisii County, the Opposition chief claimed that the government wants to intimidate Ouko with the aim of covering up the wanting corrupt dealings in the Government.
The former premier further pointed out that Jubilee was scared of Ouko since he has sensitive information on the looting of resources.
"They want to stop him from travelling to the US to investigate the Eurobond rip-off," he said.
President Uhuru Kenyatta said last week during the Governance Summit at State House that Ouko should do his work, and stop bothering to travel to the United States to conduct investigations over the whereabouts of the Eurobond funds.
