Opposition Chief Raila Odinga has dared Jubilee Government against rigging 2017 polls likening ODM party to ‘River Nile’ which would be unstoppable in 2017 polls.
Mr Odinga had previously cried foul over alleged rigging of his victory in 2007 and 2013 presidential elections respectively.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at Nyacheki market on Monday, Odinga said the Orange party had put mechanisms to monitor election results and vowed to ensure all poll results declared at the polling stations.
“The major problem we have been having is handling of election results by many people. That is how Jubilee was able to tamper with results in 2013 election. If they think of rigging this time, it’s better to change the strategy and accept the will of people,” he said.
“Election results must be declared at the polling stations and as ODM; we will deploy agents in all polling centers to get the raw data. That is our electoral reforms proposal and it is unstoppable,” he said.
Mr Odinga was drumming support for Nyacheki ward aspirant Naphtali Onkoba added: “ODM is like River Nile, not even Jubilee can block over victory and its better they start planning to exit office.”
