Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga has cautioned leaders against sowing seeds of discord amongst Kenyans along tribal lines.

Odinga said disuniting communities for political gain amounts to enslaving them.

"Sowing the poison of disunity on our people on tribal basis will not help Kenya heal our problems as a country now," he said.

He added: "We want our people to unite because unity is strength."

The opposition chief spoke at Maseno Mission in Emabungo ward, Vihiga County, during the requiem mass for veteran educationist Paul Oywaya Sitati on Saturday. Raila further accused a section of leaders of sowing seeds of discord.

"We want to build a Kenya that is all inclusive and not just for a particular people or a particular region," he said.
