Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has warned rebels in the party asking them to either tore the line or ship out.
Odinga on Sunday during a prayer rally in Machakos said that the party will not tolerate members or officials who are out to betray the party.
The party leader asked dissatisfied members to quit and stop spreading propaganda on the activities of the party.
“If someone is tired with our ideologies should go and stop betraying or selling our ideas to the enemy,” said Odinga.
The Orange Party leader, however, assured members that ODM is still strong.
He said that mechanisms are in place to popularize the party across the county ahead of next year’s general election.
He asked members to remain committed and push the party agenda forward.
“Wrangles will only make us fail, we don’t want to fail again,” said Raila.
There has been growing discontent among some members of the Orange Party with a section of members accusing party Secretary General Ababu Namwamba of not being committed to the party.
Last week claims emerged that Namwamba was working with Jubilee, claims the Budalang’i MP has refuted.
On Saturday during a rally in Busia, Namwamba said that he was ready to resign from the secretary general’s post.
He cited frustrations within the ODM leadership.
On Wednesday last week ODM party leader Raila Odinga held a lengthy meeting with party officials at Orange House in Nairobi in a bid to address the standoff among officials.
Already ODM vice chairman Paul Otuoma has resigned from the post. Otuoma on Saturday said that he will tender his resignation to party leader this week.
