Former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti became the center of attraction after National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders retreated to take lunch following a gruesome Supreme Court hearing.
Photos of the leaders taking lunch at a Nairobi hotel after long hours at the Supreme Court have surfaced online. Raila, a former Prime Minister is seen smiling a Wavinya Ndeti rests on his shoulders while holding her Smartphone.
Kenyans on social media have continued to express different reactions after the photos emerged. Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka seen taking a picture as Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi looks on.
In the meantime, Raila has filed a petition seeking for the nullification of the last general elections’ presidential results. Through NASA lawyers, Raila has maintained that the outcome of the election does not reflect the will of the people of Kenya.
According to Senator James Orengo, the discrepancies in the forms used during the election show malice. “Forms that were irregular, either on account of not being signed, not bearing security features and many other reasons explained in the report, affected nearly 5 million votes,” Orengo told the bench.
Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)has insisted that President Uhuru Kenyatta won freely and fairly. "You can't be asked to nullify the election on the basis of allegations, suspicions, my Lord, but there is no challenging the numbers, the votes," lawyer Paul Muite said.
