National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has said they are not ready to participate in the fresh elections, with the same IEBC as currently constituted.

While addressing the press on Tuesday, Odinga, who won the petition challenging President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win, said the Wafula Chebukati led commission did not consult them on the fresh presidential election date.

On Monday, the electoral body announced that the fresh presidential elections will be held on October 17, 2017.

Odinga said there were thorny issues to be addressed before the elections are held.

He also dismissed claims that they are afraid to face their opponents in the Jubilee Party.

“If you have a majority, can you fear elections?” Odinga asked.

The opposition have called for the dismissal of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba over the irregularities that plagued the August 8 elections.
