National Super Alliance Presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Friday said that all election rigging loopholes have been sealed.
This is after the court of appeal ruled that the presidential results announced at the constituency level will be final.
A similar ruling had been made by the High Court but IEBC appealed the decision seeking orders to make the chairman to be the final authority to announce presidential results.
The former Prime Minister, who was speaking during a campaign rally in Bungoma said that today’s decision by the court will play a big role towards ensuring that democracy and the will of the people prevail in the elections.
According to him, Jubilee will not be able to influence the outcome of elections in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s favour.
“Today we have made a huge step towards sending Jubilee home because the Court of Appeal has affirmed that IEBC should not change results from constituencies. The trick of Jubilee to rig in the polls will not prevail this time round. They will go home in August,” said Odinga.
On two occasions Odinga has claimed that he was rigged out of the presidential race.
